Muizenberg Beach
Fiancé loves, loves, loves the beach. If it were up to him, we’d be living on some beach with white sand and clear, turquoise water way too far south to oblige our mothers. As my horribly sunburned, formerly porcelain white, skin will tell you, I am built for the cloudy dreariness of Portland. Poor guy.
So, one of his first priorities when we got to Cape Town was getting to a beach.
We decided to go to Muizenberg. It’s a very popular spot for swimmers and surfers but far enough out of the way to not be totally packed with beachgoers on a Saturday morning. Oh, and did I mention the sharks? Yep, lots of ’em. You better believe I didn’t go into that water past my ankles. Sure they have shark “lookouts,” but that water still got a big “NOPE” from me.
The beach is lined with colorful changing rooms that were enormously distracting for my camera and I.
It was a great little area and, fortunately for us, free to park at and just a quick ten minutes or so down the highway. I foresee many future Saturdays spent down there!
Thanks for sharing, Chels. And remember your sunscreen!!! Love you!
What a beautiful place to relax! The beach houses are quite similar to the ones in Melbourne too 😀
What a stunning beach! Great photos.
