Yesterday, the ducks WHOOPED UCLA. Absolutely obliterated them. If you didn’t watch the game, at least read about it. My boyfriend and I had been planning on going, but I got a ticket to the game and he didn’t, so I gave up my ticket and used it as an excuse to make cute game day food. I’ve been watching all sorts of tail gate cooking shows, such as Kick Off Cook Off, and decided it was about time I made some sliders for a game. In case you’ve never heard that term before, they’re essentially mini cheeseburgers. I also had some chipotle peppers in adobo sauce leftover from my chipotle chicken tacos, so I decided to incorporate those as well.

I used my usual recipes for the the beef and fries. I had gone to the store in hopes of finding some mini buns, but alas, there were none. So, I got some tiny dinner rolls instead and just cut them in half and toasted them. I also found some yellow and green plastic toothpicks and decided they were absolutely necessary.

Aren’t they so cute?! They were perfect finger food, and awesome with the chipotle mayo. Half of the sliders were with swiss cheese and half were American. We’re somewhat picky about our toppings, so the only other thing on them was bacon.

Here’s the recipe for the chipotle mayo! I mixed some with ketchup, too, for dipping the fries and it was divine.

Chipotle Mayo

Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise (I used low fat, but does it really matter?)
2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 tsp adobo sauce
1/2 tsp lime juice

Directions
Roughly chop the adobo peppers. Pour all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Super easy!
