Rosemary Nectarine Whiskey Sour

If you're looking for the ultimate whiskey cocktail, try this twist on the classic whiskey sour with the addition of a rosemary nectarine simple syrup!

Ingredients
 

Rosemary Nectarine Simple Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 nectarine, pitted and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Rosemary Nectarine Whiskey Sour:

  • Ice
  • 1 oz rosemary nectarine simple syrup
  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • Soda water, optional

Instructions
 

Simple Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the sugar, water, nectarine, and rosemary sprigs.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved completely. Cook for another 5 minutes then remove from heat to cool.

Rosemary Nectarine Whiskey Sour:

  • Fill a rocks glass with ice. Top with simple syrup, whiskey, and lemon juice. Stir to combine.
  • If desired, top with soda water. Stir again.
  • Garnish with rosemary sprigs and nectarine slices to serve.

Notes

Play with the quantities of alcohol and simple syrup to figure out what you like best!
