ingredients

1 cup butter, softened 1 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tablespoon spiced rum 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/4 cups white chocolate chips 1 1/2 cup dried cranberries

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar for 4-5 minutes. Beat in the egg and rum, and best for an additional 3 minutes.

Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in the white chocolate chips and cranberries.

Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a 375 degree F oven. For best results, take them out while they are still light in color.

Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
